We can't wait until Chanukah!

We continued preparing for Chanukah this week, with decorations for our classroom, and pictures to take home!  We've been learning the story of Chanukah, and so many songs that we can't wait to share with you at our Chanukah party!

We finished decorating the candles for our classroom Menorah.

We put a marker inside a cd, and then practiced spinning it like a dreidel!

We gave the kids 8 "candles," 1 shamash," 8 "wicks," and a menorah base.  I modeled for them how to line up the candles to make a menorah, and then let the kids make their own menorahs!

We dipped dreidels in paint, and then practiced spinning them!  What colorful creations we made!

We started making our menorahs!  We cut shields, dreidels and stars out of clay, and put candle holders in them.
