Chanukah Plans begin...

We've starting getting ready for Chanukah!   We've been busy decorating our room with dreidels, and a big menorah!  We've been singing Chanukah songs, learning the Chanukah story, learning the brachot, and practicing spinning dreidels.

We did a fun (but messy) science experiment!  We froze water and food coloring, and then watched as the colored ice cubes melted in oil.  The water and oil didn't mix, now matter how hard the children tried!

We need 9 candles for our classroom menorah, so we decided to decorate them!  We colored the shamash, then glued buttons, pom poms, tissue paper and sequins onto 4 others. We'll finish the other 4 next week!

We had a special visit from the Olive Press Factroy today, where we learned the story of Chanukah, and how to make oil, wicks, and light the menorah!

When we weren't learning about Chanukah, we were playing drums with Morah Danit...

and doing yoga with Mora Baila!

We can't wait until our Chanukah party on Dec 16 at 10:30.  Look for the invitations tomorrow!
Shabbat shalom!
