And more Pesach!!!

We've been so busy preparing for Pesach!  We've been "cleaning" the classroom, washing dishes and vacuuming.

We've been decorating kiddush cups, making seder plates, and our very own pillowcases to use at the Seder.

We also made Afikomen bags, by painting them gold or silver, then decorating them with pretty gems.

We even practiced hiding the afikomen in the classroom for our friends to look for!

We continued learning the parts of the seder, like Hallel Nirtzah, when we sing songs like Lshana Habaa B'yerushalayim...

and practiced sitting nicely at our seder table, set with a seder plate, kiddush cup and matzah!

We love climbing outside, or just hanging with our friends!

And Morah Danit was back (with her new baby)!

There won't be any new projects going home tomorrow, but look for them to come home Erev Pesach! Shabbat Shalom!

Matzah factory!

We had a visit from the matzah factory today!  We learned how to make matzah.

 We cut wheat stalks...
and ground the wheat into flour...

We put the ground wheat into a sifter....

Then shook the sifter to seperate the flour..

We mixed the flour and water....

Then rolled out the dough....

And put holes in the dough.

 Even Adella had fun!

We had grape juice to drink...

and took a group picture while waiting for the dough to come out of the oven.

It was delicious!

Pesach, continued...

We've continued learning  the order of the Seder, this week.  We started with Karpas,  Each child had a chance to mix salt water, dip parsley in it, and taste it.

They each practiced breaking the middle matzah for Yachatz.

We continued to learn the story of Pesach, including the 10 Makot, for Magid.
