Lag Ba'Omer, and Mother's Day surprises!

I know you want to hear about our week, but I don't want to ruin any surprises!  Your children have been working so hard preparing Mother's Day gifts for you. Here's a sneak peak:

We cut, glued, stamped, painted, and even baked surprises for you!
We practiced being good mothers to the babies in the classroom, bathing and dressing them.

We also made hearts out of playdough,

and our hands (at least we tried)!

We also enjoyed some of our favorite books about mothers: "Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman, "Is Your Mama a Llama? by Deborah Guarino, "A Book of Hugs" but Dave Ross and "Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too? by Eric Carle.

Aside from Mother's Day, we spent the week learning about Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, and Lag Ba'Omer.  We glued bonfires out of sticks and tissue paper, and then built one in the classroom with blocks and tissue paper. But don't worry - we talked a lot about fire safety, and how bonfires are not too touch, but they are great for roasting marshmallows!  We even practiced today with a big bonfire with Morah Abby's class and Nursery 3 where we sang, danced, and ate our "roasted" marshmallows!

We had so much fun with Morah Lilly...

We practiced making our hebrew letters with rocks, and finding them in the sand box.

And we love playing outside....

And reading books!

I just want to thank all of you again for the wonderful breakfast, and special treats this week! Have a happy Mother's Day! Shabbat Shalom!
